Biodiversity Assessment Webinar Results
Student Media World Association organized on Friday, 11 December 2020, a webinar on “Biodiversity Assessment”. The event was part of the "Mobile Biodiversity" project and was held online via zoom platform.
The webinar was attended by representatives of the Department of Forest and Natural Environment Sciences, International Hellenic University, the University of Forestry, Sofia, environmental NGOs, representatives of the partners of the "Mobile Biodiversity" project, Municipality of Paggaio, Kresna Municipality, biodiversity experts, as well as local stakeholders.
The project approach envisages integrated actions for improved biodiversity management on CB level in compliance with the specific objectives of INTERREG V-A COOPERATION PROGRAMMΕ: GREECE – BULGARIA 2014-2020.
As part of the webinar, participants had the opportunity to see a short presentation of the project, as well as presentations from Bulgarian and Greek lecturers on issues such as biodiversity in the CB project area in both countries, conservation of biodiversity, protected areas and protected sites.
The webinar closing part included sharing of ideas and questions from the participants, who represented stakeholders from the region of Greece and Bulgaria.
